The Sigulda Mountain Marathon, or SKM, is the hilliest trail run in Latvia, unconstrained by the conventions of a classic asphalt marathon. The full marathon distance for SKM 2025 is approximately 70 km long with about 3000 meters of elevation gain/loss, making it a serious challenge. There is also a half marathon distance of 35 km and a mountain cross distance of 10+ km, including the most famous climbs of Sigulda. The competition takes place in the Gauja National Park, where participants can enjoy beautiful views and challenging trails.
