The Sigulda Mountain Marathon (SKM) is the hilliest trail run in Latvia and is considered one of the most challenging races in the Baltic region. The 2024 marathon distance is approximately 70 km with nearly 3000 m of elevation gain and loss, allowing runners to test their physical and psychological readiness. In addition to the full distance, there is a half marathon (35 km) and a mountain cross (10+ km), enabling everyone to enjoy the most beautiful climbs and descents of Sigulda. The SKM marathon is included in the list of qualifying races for the Mont Blanc Marathon (UTMB®), and its course is certified according to global standards for mountain marathons.
