On April 20th in Suitu land – in the heart of Kurzeme – in Alsunga – the team from Bauska State Gymnasium records the 7 km distance of the Stirnu buka as part of the “LVM School Championship” I “Squirrel”. In the trail run, we enjoyed the winding paths of the nature park, hills and valleys, marshy areas and buttercup meadows, the courtyard of the Livonian Order Castle, the charm of Alsunga’s streets with sklandrauši, local artisans’ creations, and the local chapel. On our way back, we stopped by Europe’s widest waterfall, “Ventas rumba,” and observed how the “leaping” vimbas greeted us on this cold spring day.
